# Migrating Raised Liquidity

> Learn how to migrate a completed bonding curve sale to Raydium CPMM.

When your bonding curve sale reaches its hard cap, the sale status changes to **Completed**.

A completed sale is ready for liquidity migration. During migration, the funds raised by the sale and the tokens reserved for liquidity are used to create a liquidity pool on **Raydium CPMM**.

After a successful migration, the sale status changes to **Migrated**.

# When Your Sale Is Ready for Migration

Once your sale reaches its hard cap before its lifetime expires, it becomes **Completed** and the **Migrate liquidity** button appears on the sale page.

Liquidity migration is normally the responsibility of the coin creator.

## Creator-Only Access

Only the wallet that created the coin can normally initiate liquidity migration.

The **Migrate liquidity** button is displayed when you are logged in using the wallet associated with the coin's creation.

Other users, contributors, and wallet holders cannot perform the normal creator migration process.

# Before You Migrate

Make sure your creator wallet is connected and has enough SOL to pay the Solana network transaction fee.

RugFreePump protocol does not charge the creator an additional migration fee. The creator only needs enough SOL to submit and confirm the migration transaction.

The applicable **Bonding Curve Escrow Completed Fee**, **Token Creator Incentive** where applicable, **Raydium Liquidity Pool Creation Fee**, required account rent, and liquidity allocation are processed automatically from the completed sale's raised funds during migration.

See [Protocol Fees](/overview/protocol-fees) for the current fee amounts and authorized update ranges.

# Migration Reminder Period

When a sale becomes **Completed**, the sale page displays a **Time left to migrate** countdown.

The countdown provides approximately **60 minutes** for the creator to prepare for the liquidity launch.

During this time, the creator may prepare:

* Launch announcements
* Community communications
* Marketing activities
* Project updates
* Other launch preparations

The purpose of this period is to give the creator reasonable time to prepare before liquidity is migrated and trading begins on Raydium CPMM.

## What Happens When the Timer Ends?

The countdown is only a reminder and does not automatically trigger an on-chain or off-chain action.

When the timer reaches zero:

* The sale does not automatically migrate.
* The sale does not automatically expire.
* The sale status does not automatically change.
* The creator can still migrate the liquidity.
* The **Migrate liquidity** button remains available to the creator.

The timer is intended to encourage prompt migration and give contributors a reasonable expectation of when the creator may complete the liquidity launch.

# Migrate Liquidity

Once your sale is **Completed**, follow these steps to migrate the liquidity.

## Step 1: Select Migrate Liquidity

On your Completed sale page, select the **Migrate liquidity** button.

The migration process begins, and the migration window displays:

> Preparing The Transaction...

RugFreePump prepares the transaction required to migrate the completed sale's liquidity.

Keep the migration window open while the transaction is being prepared.

## Step 2: Approve the Transaction

After the transaction is prepared, your wallet will request approval.

The migration window displays:

> Waiting For Transaction Approval...

Review the transaction in your wallet and approve it to continue.

## Step 3: Wait for Transaction Confirmation

After approving the transaction, RugFreePump waits for confirmation from the Solana network.

The migration window displays:

> Waiting For Transaction Confirmation...

Keep the migration window open while the transaction is being confirmed.

Once the transaction succeeds, the liquidity migration is complete.

# What Happens During Migration?

During migration, the completed bonding curve sale is transitioned into a **Raydium CPMM** liquidity pool.

The migration uses:

* The funds raised by the bonding curve sale.
* The tokens reserved for liquidity.

Each sale has a total supply of **1 billion tokens**, with:

* **800 million tokens for the bonding curve sale**
* **200 million tokens reserved for liquidity**

The 200 million liquidity tokens are combined with the applicable raised funds to create the Raydium CPMM liquidity pool.

The creator does not need to calculate or process these amounts manually. The migration transaction automatically applies the applicable **Bonding Curve Escrow Completed Fee**, **Token Creator Incentive** where applicable, **Raydium Liquidity Pool Creation Fee**, required account rent, and liquidity allocation.

## Liquidity Protection via LP Token Burn

As part of the migration process, the generated Liquidity Provider (LP) tokens are automatically burned.

This prevents any individual or team entity from withdrawing the migrated liquidity through the pool's LP tokens. The migrated liquidity remains in the Raydium pool and stays fully available for public trading.

## Creator Incentive

The **Creator Incentive Program** is enabled or disabled by the RugFreePump protocol.

When a bonding curve sale is created, the protocol's current Creator Incentive setting and applicable rate are applied to that sale.

If the Creator Incentive Program is enabled when the sale is created, the applicable **Token Creator Incentive** is paid to the creator during the same transaction that migrates the liquidity.

See [Protocol Fees](/overview/protocol-fees) for the current Token Creator Incentive rate and authorized update range.

Your wallet provider interface may therefore show an incoming SOL amount as part of the migration transaction.

For example, your wallet provider interface may display:

> +1.54886 SOL

This incoming SOL represents the applicable creator incentive payment. It is **not a deduction from your wallet balance**.

If the Creator Incentive Program was disabled when the sale was created, no creator incentive is paid to the creator during the transaction that migrates the liquidity.

# After Migration

After the migration transaction is successfully confirmed, the sale status changes from:

**Completed → Migrated**

The sale page updates to show:

**This pool has been migrated**

A **View** button also appears, allowing you to view the project's market information on **DEX Screener**.

No additional action is required from the creator after the migration transaction succeeds.

## Purchased Token Availability

Successful liquidity migration also enables the purchased token claiming process.

Buyers can claim their purchased tokens according to the Token Unlocked (TU) or Token Locked (TL) sale model selected when the coin was created.

The creator's initial purchase follows the same claiming conditions as other purchases.

For more information, see [Claiming Purchased Tokens](/user-guides/for-token-buyers/claiming-purchased-tokens).

# If You Cannot Migrate

If you are unable to complete the liquidity migration, contact the RugFreePump support team as soon as possible.

Contact support if, for example:

* Your creator wallet does not have enough SOL for the network fee.
* The **Migrate liquidity** button is not available when it should be.
* The transaction fails repeatedly.
* You experience a wallet connection problem.
* You experience a transaction preparation or execution problem.
* You encounter another technical issue preventing migration.

If you cannot migrate for any reason, do not wait unnecessarily to contact support. Prompt communication allows the situation to be reviewed and addressed where possible.

# Delayed Migration and Administrative Review

The creator is normally responsible for completing liquidity migration after the sale becomes **Completed**.

The 60-minute migration countdown gives the creator time to prepare for the launch. However, if the creator does not migrate the liquidity and remains unresponsive, contributors may raise complaints regarding the delay.

<Callout type="warning" title="Important Notice">
  Liquidity migration should be completed promptly.

  A delayed migration, particularly when the creator is unresponsive or contributors have raised complaints, may result in the situation being reviewed by authorized Platform administrators.

  If you experience any issues or complications, contact the RugFreePump support team as soon as possible.
</Callout>

## Administrative Review

The migration countdown does not automatically trigger cancellation or authority intervention.

There is no automatic rule requiring administrative migration or cancellation of a sale after a specific amount of time.

If a migration is delayed, the circumstances may be reviewed before any action is taken. This may include considering:

* Whether the creator is responding.
* Whether the creator is experiencing a genuine technical problem.
* Whether the creator intends to complete migration.
* Whether contributors have raised complaints.
* Whether additional time or assistance is appropriate.
* Whether migration or cancellation better protects contributors.

The appropriate action depends on the circumstances and the responses of the creator and contributors.

## Exceptional Migration Assistance

RugFreePump maintains an authorized migration mechanism that can be used in exceptional circumstances when intervention is necessary.

This mechanism allows the authorized migration wallet to complete migration for a completed sale when appropriate.

It is not part of the normal migration process and does not replace the creator's responsibility to migrate liquidity.

Under normal circumstances, the creator should complete migration using the wallet that created the coin.

## Sale Cancellation

In certain circumstances, authorized Platform administrators may determine that cancellation is necessary instead of proceeding with liquidity migration.

If a Completed sale is canceled:

* The sale does not proceed to liquidity migration.
* The sale status changes to **Canceled**.
* Eligible contributors can withdraw their contributed SOL through the applicable withdrawal process.

Cancellation is an exceptional action. It is not automatically triggered when the migration countdown reaches zero and is determined based on the circumstances of the delayed migration.

# Migration Summary

The normal migration process is:

1. Your bonding curve sale reaches its hard cap.
2. The sale status changes to **Completed**.
3. Log in using the wallet that created the coin.
4. Select **Migrate liquidity**.
5. Approve the transaction in your wallet.
6. Wait for Solana transaction confirmation.
7. The raised funds, after the applicable **Bonding Curve Escrow Completed Fee**, **Token Creator Incentive** where applicable, **Raydium Liquidity Pool Creation Fee**, and other applicable allocations, are combined with the reserved liquidity tokens to create liquidity on **Raydium CPMM**.
8. Any applicable creator incentive is paid in the same transaction if the Creator Incentive Program was enabled when the bonding curve sale was created.
9. The sale status changes to **Migrated**.
10. Select **View** to view your migrated project on **DEX Screener**.

Once the migration transaction succeeds, the liquidity migration process is complete, and public traders can trade the token on Raydium.
