On-chain program risks
Program software risk
The RugFreePump on-chain program handles token creation, bonding-curve sales, withdrawals, liquidity migration, sale lifecycle management, administrative operations, and other protocol functions. A software bug or previously unknown vulnerability could cause:- Token amounts or SOL amounts to be calculated or transferred incorrectly
- Bonding-curve purchases to produce an unexpected token amount or price
- Fees to be calculated or applied incorrectly
- Transactions to fail or sale states to change unexpectedly
- Withdrawals to fail or become unavailable
- Sales to fail to finalize when expected
- Liquidity migration to fail, be delayed, or produce an unexpected result
- Purchased token claims to fail or become unavailable
- Administrative operations to behave unexpectedly
- Transactions or asset transfers to produce an unexpected result
Upgradeability risk
On Solana, deployed programs can be upgraded by an upgrade authority. This allows developers to patch vulnerabilities, fix bugs, improve existing functionality, and deploy new features, but it also means that program behavior can change over time. The RugFreePump program currently has a single upgrade authority, meaning its underlying code can be changed through a future upgrade. If the upgrade authority were compromised, misused, or accessed without authorization, an unauthorized upgrade could change core functionality or protocol behavior.Administrative authority risk
Some important RugFreePump functions require administrative authority. These include maintenance controls, protocol configuration, recovery operations, and other protocol-level functions. The RugFreePump protocol currently relies on a single administrative authority for these functions. If this authority were compromised, lost, misused, or accessed without authorization, it could:- Temporarily stop or restrict parts of the platform
- Change protocol fees or other settings used by future sales
- Disable or restrict certain protocol features
- Affect how liquidity migration or recovery is handled
- Affect the operation or availability of active or finalized sales
Maintenance mode risk
RugFreePump can enter a maintenance state that temporarily restricts most on-chain protocol operations while maintenance work is being performed. The protocol is designed to avoid enabling maintenance mode while active bonding-curve sales are still within their active lifecycle. Once maintenance mode is enabled, most on-chain protocol operations are restricted. This can temporarily affect:- Creating new token sales
- Liquidity migration
- Available withdrawals
- Other on-chain protocol operations
Configuration risk
RugFreePump uses protocol settings that can affect how new token sales and other on-chain operations work. Changes to these settings can affect things such as:- How long new token sales remain active
- Fees charged for creating or buying into a token sale
- Creator incentive settings
- Liquidity migration and DEX-related settings
- Token unlock schedules configured for new Token Locked (TL) sales
- Whether certain protocol features are available
Oracle and pricing risks
Oracle dependency risk
The RugFreePump bonding curve is denominated and calculated using USD-equivalent values, while buyers contribute SOL. The program uses SOL/USD price data to determine the USD-equivalent value of the SOL used in the bonding-curve purchase calculation. Problems with this price data can therefore affect whether a transaction succeeds and the amount of SOL required or tokens received.Stale or unavailable price data risk
The program rejects price data that is too old or otherwise fails its acceptance conditions. If acceptable SOL/USD data is unavailable, token creation or purchases may fail even when the Solana network and RugFreePump dApp are working normally.Oracle price differences risk
The oracle price can differ from prices shown on individual exchanges or other trading venues. A valid oracle price therefore does not guarantee that it matches the price a user sees elsewhere. This can affect:- The SOL required for a purchase
- The USD-equivalent value used by the bonding curve
- Creation fees
- The creator’s initial purchase
- The number of tokens received
Oracle confidence risk
The program requires the oracle price to meet a confidence threshold. If the oracle reports insufficient confidence, transactions that depend on that price can fail instead of executing against data that does not meet the program’s acceptance conditions.SOL price movement risk
SOL’s USD price can change between the time you prepare a transaction and the time it executes. The amount of SOL needed for a particular USD-equivalent contribution can therefore change. The token’s value can also change independently of the SOL/USD price used by the bonding curve.Quote and execution timing risk
The amount shown before a transaction is based on the information available at that moment. SOL/USD price, bonding-curve state, fees, and transaction timing can change before execution, so the final result can differ from an earlier quote.Oracle infrastructure risk
RugFreePump relies on Pyth for SOL/USD price data. An outage, delayed update, infrastructure problem, or other issue affecting the oracle service can prevent transactions from executing or affect information used by the protocol.Platform and infrastructure risks
dApp availability risk
The RugFreePump dApp can become temporarily unavailable because of hosting problems, deployments, DNS issues, network failures, attacks, or other infrastructure events. The dApp being unavailable does not necessarily mean that the underlying Solana state has changed.API and backend risk
RugFreePump uses backend services to provide application functionality and supporting data. Backend failures, software bugs, capacity problems, or incorrect responses can prevent information from loading or prevent supported actions from being initiated through the dApp.Indexing and synchronization risk
RugFreePump’s off-chain indexers can temporarily fall behind finalized Solana state. A token, sale, transaction, balance, or status shown by the platform can therefore temporarily differ from the latest on-chain state.Sale-page mapping risk
Token creation can succeed on-chain before the corresponding sale page is available through the dApp. A delay or failure in off-chain processing can therefore make a successfully created sale temporarily difficult to find or display.Metadata infrastructure risk
Token metadata uses off-chain infrastructure in addition to its on-chain reference. Storage failures, gateway outages, unavailable images, CDN problems, or other infrastructure failures can prevent metadata or images from being displayed even when the on-chain metadata reference remains valid.Platform content moderation risk
Project information displayed by RugFreePump may become unavailable or change because of Platform-level content moderation, independently of blockchain or metadata storage availability. A project may continue to exist on-chain even when RugFreePump suppresses some or all of its creator-submitted information from its own displays. Users should verify token identities using the on-chain token mint address rather than relying solely on displayed names, ticker symbols, images, or external links.RPC dependency risk
RugFreePump relies on Solana RPC infrastructure to submit transactions and retrieve blockchain data. RPC outages, rate limits, degraded performance, incorrect responses, or connectivity problems can affect transaction submission and information displayed by the platform.WebSocket and real-time data risk
Real-time features depend on off-chain WebSocket and event-delivery infrastructure. Connection failures, delayed events, dropped messages, service outages, or synchronization problems can cause activity, statistics, and other real-time information to lag behind the actual state.Database and service-state risk
RugFreePump uses databases to store indexed and application-level information. Database failures, corruption, synchronization problems, or incorrect application state can affect platform functionality and displayed information even when the underlying Solana state remains intact.Third-party infrastructure risk
RugFreePump depends on external providers for services such as RPC access, cloud infrastructure, content delivery, metadata storage, and other supporting systems. An outage, policy change, network restriction, or service degradation at one of these providers can affect platform functionality.Off-chain and on-chain state differences risk
Information displayed by RugFreePump comes partly from off-chain systems that process blockchain data. These systems can temporarily differ from the latest on-chain state because of indexing delays, service failures, or processing errors. The blockchain state remains the authoritative source for on-chain account and transaction state.Platform availability versus protocol availability risk
The RugFreePump dApp being unavailable does not necessarily prevent direct interaction with the deployed on-chain program where technically possible. Likewise, an available dApp does not guarantee that an underlying Solana transaction will succeed.External-service failure risk
Failures in third-party services can occur independently of the RugFreePump on-chain program. These failures can delay token creation, metadata processing, transaction submission, indexing, sale-page availability, or real-time updates without necessarily changing the underlying blockchain state.Bonding-curve sale risks
Bonding-curve pricing risk
The bonding curve determines how many tokens a buyer receives based on the sale’s current USD position. As more SOL is contributed and the sale progresses, the price produced by the curve changes. The price available to one buyer may therefore not be available to the next buyer.Price impact risk
A larger purchase can move the bonding curve more than a smaller purchase. This means a buyer may receive a different effective price from a previously displayed quote or from another buyer’s transaction.Slippage risk
The bonding-curve state can change between preparing and executing a transaction. If the difference becomes larger than the user’s allowed slippage, the transaction can fail. Allowing higher slippage allows a larger difference between the expected and executed price.Minimum purchase risk
RugFreePump has a minimum USD-denominated purchase requirement. A purchase that does not meet the required minimum after applicable fees can fail. Because the requirement is denominated in USD, changes in SOL’s price can also change the amount of SOL needed to meet the minimum.Hard-cap risk
Each sale has a maximum USD contribution level. Once the sale reaches its maximum, additional purchases can no longer be accepted even if more buyers want to participate.Fixed expiration risk
Each bonding-curve sale has a fixed expiration window. A sale can therefore expire before reaching its maximum contribution level. When that happens, it does not necessarily follow the normal finalized-sale and liquidity-migration path.Demand risk
A token may not attract enough buyers to reach its maximum contribution level. Low demand can result in:- A sale expiring below its maximum contribution level
- Fewer contributions than the creator expected
- Less liquidity available for later stages
- A sale ending without reaching its intended contribution level
Initial creator position risk
The creator’s mandatory initial purchase affects the starting state of the bonding curve. Other buyers therefore enter the sale after this initial position has already been established.Finalization risk
A sale reaching the end of its active lifecycle or its required economic threshold does not guarantee that every subsequent operation will complete successfully. Finalization can be affected by the sale’s state, required conditions, transaction execution, or other protocol dependencies.Token value risk
The bonding curve determines the purchase price during the sale, but it does not determine or guarantee the token’s future value. A token can lose substantial or nearly all of its value after purchase, including after liquidity migration.Market transition risk
Moving from the bonding curve to external liquidity changes the trading environment. Price, liquidity, spreads, volatility, and trading activity after migration can differ substantially from conditions during the bonding-curve sale.Purchased token claim availability risk
Purchasing tokens through a bonding-curve sale does not immediately transfer those tokens to the buyer’s wallet. Instead, the protocol records the buyer’s cumulative purchased token allocation on-chain. Purchased tokens become eligible for claiming only after successful liquidity migration. If migration is delayed, fails, or cannot be completed, buyers may be unable to claim their purchased tokens. Token claiming also depends on successful on-chain transaction execution and the availability of the required protocol-controlled token accounts.Token unlock schedule risk
RugFreePump supports Token Unlocked (TU) and Token Locked (TL) sale models. For TU sales, purchased tokens become fully claimable after successful liquidity migration. For TL sales, purchased tokens become claimable gradually according to the sale’s configured on-chain token unlock schedule. Buyers participating in TL sales cannot claim their entire purchased token allocation immediately after migration. Market prices, liquidity conditions, and token demand may change substantially before all purchased tokens become claimable.Token and creator risks
Creator risk
Creating a token through RugFreePump does not verify the creator’s identity, experience, claims, or ability to deliver a successful project. A creator may abandon the project, stop communicating, fail to deliver promised utility, or otherwise fail to meet expectations. No endorsement risk
A token appearing on RugFreePump does not mean RugFreePump endorses, verifies, sponsors, or guarantees the creator, project, claims, or future performance.Identity and attribution risk
A wallet address associated with a creator does not prove the real-world identity of the person or organization controlling that wallet. Creator information should therefore not be treated as independent identity verification.Impersonation risk
A creator can use names, symbols, images, descriptions, or social links that resemble an existing project, company, person, or community. This can make an unrelated token appear to be officially connected to an established entity.Misleading-content risk
Information supplied by creators can be inaccurate, incomplete, exaggerated, misleading, or intentionally deceptive. Users may rely on descriptions, images, social links, or other project information when deciding whether to purchase a token.Copyright and trademark risk
Creators are responsible for having the necessary rights to use submitted names, tickers, descriptions, images, artwork, logos, and other content. RugFreePump does not require creators to provide proof of ownership or licensing during token creation. A rights holder may therefore later report content associated with a token. Following a rights-holder complaint or other review of the content, RugFreePump may remove or disable access to affected content from the RugFreePump platform. This can make a token’s image, artwork, or other associated content unavailable or prevent RugFreePump from displaying or promoting it, even though the token and related blockchain records remain on-chain. RugFreePump’s platform-level actions cannot modify or delete information already recorded on the Solana blockchain or copies of content stored in independent decentralized or third-party systems.Immutable metadata risk
Incorrect or unauthorized information recorded in immutable token metadata can remain associated with the token even if the information later proves to be inaccurate.Token and project risk
RugFreePump does not guarantee that a token will have meaningful utility, sustainable economics, continued development, or long-term viability. A token can lose most or all of its value even when its on-chain creation and bonding-curve mechanics work correctly.Creator-controlled external activity risk
Creators may operate websites, social-media accounts, communities, bots, or other systems outside RugFreePump. Activity on those external systems may not be controlled, verified, or operated by RugFreePump.Creator timing risk
Creators may plan launches around announcements, promotions, partnerships, or community events. Technical failures, transaction delays, sale expiration, or platform maintenance can disrupt those plans and affect the timing or visibility of a launch.Token creation risks
Token creation failure risk
Creating a token requires several on-chain operations to complete successfully, including creating the mint, initializing metadata, minting the initial supply, creating the bonding curve, processing the creation fee, and completing the required creator purchase. A failure during any of these steps can prevent the token sale from being created successfully.Metadata initialization risk
Token creation depends on the Metaplex Token Metadata program and the metadata parameters supplied during creation. An external-program failure, unexpected account state, invalid parameter, or other integration problem can prevent creation from completing. Token metadata is initialized as immutable. If incorrect information is recorded during creation, it may not be possible to correct it through the normal metadata update process.Initial creator purchase risk
Every token creation includes a mandatory initial creator purchase. This purchase becomes part of the bonding-curve sale and establishes part of the sale’s initial state before other buyers participate. If the initial purchase cannot meet the program’s requirements, token creation will not complete successfully.Creation-time pricing risk
Token creation depends on valid SOL/USD price data. The accepted price is used when calculating the creation fee and is also supplied to the creator’s initial purchase. If suitable price data is unavailable, stale, invalid, or outside the program’s accepted conditions, token creation may fail.Creator preparation and demand risk
Creating a token sale successfully does not guarantee that it will attract buyers or an active community. A creator may need to invest significant time, funds, technical skills, project development, promotion, communication, community building, and other resources before and after creating the token sale. If the creator is not adequately prepared to develop, promote, and support the project, the token may receive limited attention or participation. This can result in:- Fewer contributions than the creator expected
- A sale expiring without reaching its maximum contribution level
- Limited community growth or trading activity
- Failure to recover the spending, time, development effort, promotional effort, or other resources committed to the project
Mint-authority finality risk
The initial token supply is created during token creation, and the mint authority is then revoked. This prevents additional supply from being created through that revoked authority, but it also means that an error in the original supply cannot later be corrected by simply minting more tokens.Creator-supplied information risk
Information supplied during token creation can be inaccurate, misleading, unauthorized, or associated with someone else’s project or intellectual property. Immutable metadata can cause such information to remain associated with the token after creation.Transaction and operation risks
Transaction failure risk
A RugFreePump operation can fail or remain unconfirmed for many reasons, including:- Invalid transaction parameters
- Insufficient SOL
- Incorrect account state
- Unacceptable oracle data
- Slippage limits
- Compute or account requirements
- External program requirements
- Solana network conditions
